FINAL SCORE:

#1 - Shreveport/Bossier Mavericks 121 -- Texas All-Stars 73

GAME COMMENTS:

The #1 ranked Shreveport/Bossier Mavericks were dominating in every way vs a talented Texas All-Star team on Saturday night in front of a big enthusiastic crowd at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.

PJ Couisnard and Ed Horton started a defensive effort that held the All-Stars to 10 1st quarter points. The stifling Mavericks Defense set the tone and the Mavericks delivered a stellar performance.

In the 2nd quarter Brandon Davis started to dominate the paint and Texas had no answer for Davis, Jon Rogers, Chad Eichelberger, Alex Sanders, and Rafael "The Manimal" Johnson. The Mavs led at half-time 58-29.

The Texas All-Stars kept playing and fighting in the 2nd half. But there was no stopping the Mavericks attack. Mike Crain and Trey Moore kept the Mavericks rolling by making plays on both ends of the court and finishing to the basket.
