2-Time MVP Josh Pace Announces his Retirement as He Accepts an Assistant Coaching Position for the Women's Basketball Program at Pepperdine University

Shreveport, LA (July 27, 2015)-Josh Pace is announcing his retirement as a player.

Josh has accepted an Assistant Coaching Position with the Women's Basketball Program at Pepperdine University in California.

Josh Pace is one of our greatest Mavericks having helped our Mavericks win 3 Pro Basketball National Championships.

Pace won the ABA MVP Award for the 2nd time this past 2014-15 season. Josh was the first player to win the ABA Regular Season and ABA Championship Finals MVP Awards in the same season during the 2009-10 season.

Josh helped Syracuse University win the NCAA Championship in New Orleans in 2003.

"You do not replace a Josh Pace, but as we have done so many times in the past when we've lost great players we will move forward" stated Mavericks Head Coach Steve Tucker.
