GAME COMMENTS:
The #1 ranked Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks (27-0) for the second straight game set the tone early and blew the roof off the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum with stifling defense and fast-break baskets that came in waves over the Texas Rimrockers (12-4).

The Mavericks, who are known for tough defense raised the bar over the course of this weekend's 2 game series vs the Rimrockers of Fort Worth, TX.

PJ Couisnard, Josh Pace, Jermaine Blackburn, and the Mavs Twin Towers of Jon Rogers and Brandon Davis set the tone, and the Mavericks bench, which is nicknamed "the Train" followed suit to dismantle the Rimrockers.

It was truly a Dominating Performance by the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks!

MAVS COURTSIDE NOTE:
If the SB Mavericks can continue on with it's winning ways they will become only the second team ever in the history of the ABA Power Rankings to be ranked #1 for the entire season. The Mavericks accomplished this feat the only other time it has been done during the 2010-11 season as the Mavericks were on their way to winning their 2nd ABA/Pro Basketball National Championship.

COACH T's COMMENT:
"DEFENSE has definitely become this Mavericks Team's call card! Hopefully it can take us to another National Championship!"
