ABA Chief Executive Officer Ron Tilley announced in October that the series would return to Shreveport at the Mavericks’ season tip-off party. Tilley cited the success of last season’s finals, as well as the unparalleled success of the Mavericks, as motivating factors for the championship to be decided at Hirsch. The Mavericks completed their perfect 34-0 season with a sweep of the Jacksonville Giants in the Finals at Hirsch in April of 2014.

“Number one, the professionalism showed by the Mavericks organization and the city of Shreveport was a huge factor in returning the Finals to the city in 2015,” said Ron Tilley, Chief Executive Officer of the ABA. “We also like to reward the defending champions of the league by allowing them to host the following season. The Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks have been superb in all aspects and they deserve to host this great event once again.

“We are confident in the Mavericks organization, as they continue to exceed our expectations,” continued Tilley. “We look forward to seeing them build on the success they had last year.”
