GAME COMMENTS:
The SB Mavericks got challenged good fashion at home on Saturday night as the Metroplex Lightning came out firing to take a 5-0 lead to start the game. After the Mavericks took a quick time-out to right the ship (so to speak) Jon Rogers scored in the paint and the battle of the first period was on. Both teams exchanged baskets and the Lightning stayed hot from long range. The Mavs only led 30-29 after one quarter of play.

In the 2nd quarter the SB Mavericks used its bench led by Tony Hooper and Anthony Jackson to get separation and to go into halftime leading 76-50.

Coming after halftime the Mavericks went to work and dominated in every phase of the game.

GAME SUPERLATIVE:
Brandon Davis recorded another Double/Double with 12 points & 10 Rebounds. Chris Hagan had another banner night with 19 points & 7 assist.

RECORD:
The Mavericks are 14-0 on the season, and have now Won 74 consecutive games.

GAME NOTE:
The Mavs have now won 78 straight games at Home ( The SB Mavericks are 39-0 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum).

SCHEDULE:
The SB Mavericks will host the Texas Rimrockers on Sunday afternoon at the HMC. Tip-off will be at 4 PM.

MAVS COURTSIDE NOTE:
This week reigning ABA MVP & Championship Finals MVP Ed Horton accepted a job to go abroad to play the remainder of the season. "We are happy for Ed! We all hope he does well! He will always be a big part of our SB Mavericks Legacy & Tradition" stated Coach Steve Tucker.
