The Kentucky Mavericks set the pace in a hotly contested 1st quarter. Both teams were determined to get separation and gain control of Game. The MAVS spurted ahead at the end of the first quarter as Robert Crawford's long range bombs gave Kentucky a 24-18 lead after one period of play.
The 2nd period was all about the MAVS Defense as the Mavericks bench took control of the game holding Rochester to just 12 points in the quarter. Kentucky led 47-30 at halftime.
In the 3rd quarter rookie point guard, Marcus Fillyaw led a Mavericks spurt that put the MAVS up by 22 points. Ben Vozzola hit key baskets in the run. Kentucky led by 22 points heading into the final quarter of play.
In the 4th quarter Rochester battled with a Championship Heart that has produced 41 straight home wins. Baskets by Nick Waddell, Marcus Fillyaw, and Jackie Butler and key free-throw shooting by Waddell and Fillyaw sealed an 87-77 Victory for the MAVS snapping the Razorsharks Homecourt Winning Streak at 41 games.

The Mavericks are now 9-1 on the season (and lead the season series with Rochester 2-0 -- the Mavericks lead the All-Time Series with Rochester 3-1). The Razorsharks are now 8-2 on the season.
The Mavericks Defense was stifling on Monday afternoon. The MAVS held the Razorsharks to 32% shooting from the field and 28% from the 3 Point Line. Kentucky out-rebounded Rochester 52-43. Jackie Butler pulled down a Game High 15 rebounds.
The Kentucky Mavericks (9-1) will return home to host the Pennsylvania Dream next Saturday night at the Owensboro Sportscenter. Tip-off will be at 7:30 PM.

Kentucky Mavericks Rookie PG, Marcus Fillyaw continued his outstanding play with 11 points, 3 assist, and 5 rebounds.
